12,00 €

Scalloped top pdf digital pattern.

The pattern:

It is a PDF digital pattern. Once you purchase it, you will receive an e-mail with a link to download it. It includes a tiled A4 pattern, an A0 pattern and sewing instructions. The link will expire in 24h. If you can’t download it during these 24h, you can just click on the link again and you will receive a new link. Please, contact me at hola@suturapatterns.com if you have any problem.

The Top:

This is a top with a scalloped finish (little wave edges) at the centre front and along the hem. It features side darts to add bust shaping and depth. It fastens at the centre front with a button placket.

Available in 8 different sizes, you will find the size chart in the last picture.

Intermediate level -Rather than being a difficult pattern to sew, it mainly requires patience when stitching the scalloped edges. Of course, you should know how to use your sewing machine and feel comfortable working with it, and be familiar with concepts such as seam allowance, stitch length, straight stitch, and zigzag stitch. When cutting your fabric, you should understand concepts such as cutting on the fold, cutting mirrored pieces, and identifying the fabric grainline. In this project, you will sew buttonholes, darts, and facings, assembled using the “burrito method”, as well as practise sewing curved shapes. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by email.

Supplies:

  • Lightweight to medium-weight non-stretch fabric: light denim, linen, Tencel, cotton, viscose, cotton or linen blends with viscose, poplin, or batiste. The fabric must be at least 1,40m wide.
    Sizes XS–S:
    1m / Sizes M–L–XL–2XL: 1,25m / Sizes 3XL–4XL: 1,50m.

  • 4 buttons, approximately 2cm in diameter.

  • Lightweight interfacing, at least 70cm wide. It is recommended to use it only if strictly necessary, for example if the fabric is very light or lacks structure. It may be fusible or non-fusible.
    Sizes XS–S–M–L:
    1m / Sizes XL–2XL–3XL–4XL: 1,10m.

  • Matching thread.

  • Basic sewing supplies: sewing machine, sewing scissors, pins, measuring tape, paper scissors, tape, buttonhole foot, needle for hand sewing buttons.
